Wake Enterprises, Inc. (WE) is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist people with disabilities to achieve their maximum level of independence. Not only are we committed to serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we serve local businesses and the community. Wake Enterprises is about more than work. WE are about all members of the community having a place.
WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WE
15th ANNUAL WE GOLF TOURNAMENT
Our 15th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday morning, October 3, 2013, at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on NC State’s Centennial Campus. This is a major fundraiser for our organization. We plan to have 120 golfers, as well as 25 volunteers, participate. In addition, each year the Head Pro at Lonnie Poole GC conducts a Golf Clinic for a number of the people we serve (one of our participants in these Clinics has previously won a Gold Medal in Golf in the Special Olympics). Notwithstanding the economy, for this year’s Tournament, we are working to not only set a participation record, but more importantly to set a record for funds raised to support our mission. Your support can help us achieve these results.
